Flowers
Sisyrinchium angustifolium flowers are about half inch across. The flowers do not mature at the same time so there are fruit capsules developing at the same time.
Leaves and Plant
Species distinguishing features include: Flower stalk has a bract about half way up the stem. Above the bract there are two long flowering branches. The lower stem is distinctly flat and winged and over 1/8 inch wide, see Newcomb's Wildflower guide.
